Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro has been turning heads recently, not just for his bulked-up physique but also for his fashion choices. While many have been focused on his added muscle, WNBA sensation Caitlin Clark noticed something else entirely—his attire.
Herro recently shared a series of photos on Instagram, and it was the last image in particular that caught the attention of Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark. In the photo, Herro was wearing an Iowa Hawkeyes No. 22 jersey—the same number Clark wore during her college days, where she became one of the most celebrated players in women’s basketball history.
Clark, clearly impressed, commented on the post: “Last slide .”
Herro is currently in the midst of a redemption offseason. Despite a strong regular season, he faced criticism for his performance in the playoffs, particularly during the Miami Heat’s first-round exit against the Boston Celtics. With key players Jimmy Butler and Terry Rozier sidelined due to injuries, the Heat needed Herro to step up, but he struggled in crucial moments.
In the five-game series, Herro averaged 16.8 points, 5.4 assists, and 3.6 rebounds, but his shooting was inconsistent, raising questions about his ability to deliver when it matters most.
Now, with a healthy Butler and Rozier expected to return, Herro has another chance to prove his worth. Just two seasons ago, he was named the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year, and the Heat are hopeful he can regain that form to help them re-establish themselves as contenders.
