The WNBA is making its comeback this week following a nearly month-long hiatus for the 2024 Olympic Games. While many top players participated in the women’s basketball competition in Paris, Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark was not among them.
Clark, who was left off the Team USA roster by head coach Cheryl Reeve in favor of more experienced players, hasn’t played since July 17, when her Fever lost 101-93 to the Dallas Wings. That defeat ended a two-game winning streak and stalled the momentum Indiana had been building. Despite a tough start to the season, with 10 losses in their first 13 games, the Fever has rebounded well, winning eight of their last 13 games and climbing to seventh place in the WNBA standings. This resurgence has led some to believe they could contend for the WNBA Playoffs title.
