Clark’s followers were quick to voice their displeasure, calling out ESPN for what they perceive as an undervaluation of her talent and impact. The outrage stems from the fact that before the WNBA’s midseason break, Clark was widely regarded as a Top 3 MVP candidate. With averages of 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, and a league-leading 8.2 assists per game, she has established herself as the premier playmaker in the league.
Adding to her impressive stats, Clark has been instrumental in the Fever’s surprising playoff push. Indiana entered the break as the No. 7 seed with an 11-15 record, a remarkable turnaround for a team that struggled last season. Given her pivotal role in their success, many fans are questioning how there could possibly be 14 players ranked ahead of her.
