Aliyah Boston and the Indiana Fever kicked off the second half of their 2024 WNBA regular season with a bang, securing a significant 98-89 victory over the Phoenix Mercury at home on Friday.
Boston put up a solid performance, holding her own against the formidable Brittney Griner. She contributed 14 points, nine rebounds, and four assists in 33 minutes on the court, showcasing her all-around game.
But Boston wasn’t the only Fever player who shined. Rookie sensation Caitlin Clark led all Indiana scorers, dropping 29 points on an efficient 8-for-16 shooting from the field, while also dishing out 10 assists and grabbing five rebounds. Kelsey Mitchell added to the offensive firepower with 28 points, shooting 50 percent from the field (11-for-22) and knocking down six 3-pointers.
After the game, a jubilant Boston shared her excitement with the camera as she headed to the locker room, confidently declaring, “Everybody hooping.”
She added with a grin, “You know what comes after a Fever win? Bow, bow, bow.”

The Fever showed no signs of rust despite coming off a long Olympic break. The team’s strong performance has bolstered their hopes of making the 2024 WNBA postseason. Currently sitting sixth in the standings with a 12-15 record, Indiana aims to build on this momentum and continue their push toward the playoffs.
