Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are hitting their stride coming out of the Olympic break, securing a dominant 92-75 win over the Seattle Storm on Sunday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. This victory marks the Fever’s second consecutive win, pushing their overall record to 13-15.
Clark delivered another stellar performance, finishing with 23 points, nine assists, and five rebounds. Teammates Kelsey Mitchell (27 points) and Lexie Hull (22 points, including 6-of-7 from beyond the arc) also shined in the blowout. Despite Jewell Loyd’s 26-point effort for the Storm, it wasn’t enough to challenge the surging Fever.

Clark entered the game with high expectations, especially after an impressive performance against the Phoenix Mercury, where she recorded 29 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds. With just two assists needed to break the record, Clark wasted no time, setting it early in the game by assisting Hull in transition for an easy score.
The game featured a competitive first half, with Indiana holding a slim one-point lead at the break. Clark’s dazzling playmaking continued into the third quarter, where she consistently set up Aliyah Boston in the paint and found Mitchell on the perimeter and in transition.
Although Clark struggled with her outside shooting for most of the game, she still managed to break the Fever’s franchise record for three-pointers made by a rookie, with 77 on the season. Her ability to adapt, scoring inside the arc and facilitating her teammates, proved crucial as Mitchell caught fire, Hull drained threes off the bench, and Boston dominated the boards with 15 rebounds.

By the fourth quarter, the Fever were cruising, much to the delight of the home crowd. The three-pointers kept falling, and Indiana looked like a formidable contender as they continue to climb the standings.
The Fever will aim to keep their momentum going on Saturday when they face the Minnesota Lynx, as they push toward their first postseason appearance since 2016.
