Long known for his critical takes, Skip Bayless has often taken aim at Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark. However, since leaving Fox Sports, Bayless seems to have had a change of heart.
On a recent episode of his podcast, Bayless admitted that he’s been impressed by Clark’s recent performances. In fact, he’s so captivated by her play that he confessed he’s more excited to watch the Indiana Fever than his beloved Dallas Cowboys.
“I’m seeing Caitlin Clark emerge as an extraordinary professional basketball player. Highest risk, highest reward… I look more forward to watching the Indiana Fever than my Dallas Cowboys,” Bayless said, according to ClutchPoints.

However, fans are skeptical of Bayless’ sudden change of tune. Many took to the comments to express their disbelief, with some accusing him of being insincere in his newfound praise for Clark.
“LOL, he finally understands it’s better to be a fan than a hater,” one user joked.
Another commented, “Man transitioned from LeBron to Clark for a career-long hate watch… notice how he goes after the generational players.”
A third added, “Skip’s just trying to tap dance into a new job.”
Bayless has built a reputation for controversial takes that often seem designed to stir the pot rather than offer genuine analysis. With his departure from a major sports network, some fans question whether his praise for Clark is a genuine shift in opinion or just another ploy to stay relevant.
So, is Bayless sincere in his newfound admiration for Caitlin Clark, or is he simply toying with his audience? Only time will tell.
