Toronto Motorsports Park Labour Day Weekend Spectacular
For drag racing enthusiasts, Toronto Motorsports Park is hosting its annual Labour Day Weekend Spectacular from August 30 to September 1. The event promises a thrilling lineup of drag races, including rounds in the NHRA National Open Series, NHRA Stock/Super Stock Series, and Bracket racing. Spectators can look forward to seeing the A and AA/Gassers, Outlaw Fast 16, Top Sportsman, and Top Dragster entries. Adding to the excitement, Rick Kopp’s jet-powered semitruck and Neale Armstrong’s jet-powered dragster will also make appearances.
To make the event even more enticing, Toronto Motorsports Park is offering two-for-one spectator admission for residents of Haldimand, Norfolk, and Six Nations, with free entry for children 15 and under.
Flamboro Speedway’s Gold Rush 124
In a rare midweek event, Flamboro Speedway recently hosted the Gold Rush 124 for Outlaw Super Late Models, drawing top racers with a $50,000 purse. Kyle Crump from Brighton, Michigan, took home the win after a thrilling race, beating out a competitive field that included Blake Childers and J.R. Fitzpatrick. The event was a spectacular showcase of high-speed action on the third-mile paved oval.
Delaware Speedway’s Great Canadian Race Weekend
Delaware Speedway will host its highly anticipated Great Canadian Race Weekend from September 6 to 8. The highlight of the weekend is the Castrol Great Canadian 300, part of the APC United Late Model Series. With a rich history dating back to 1981, this race offers a $60,000 purse, including a $10,000 prize for the winner. The weekend will also feature the Dayco Super Stock Championship and races in the OSCAAR Modified and Hot Rod classes. The action-packed weekend concludes with round 12 of the NASCAR Canada Series, a 200-lap race on September 8.
Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Labour Day Weekend Sprints
Meanwhile, Canadian Tire Motorsport Park will host the Labour Day Weekend Sprints from August 29 to September 1. This event will feature multiple races on the iconic 2.5-mile road circuit, including the Nissan Sentra Cup, Emzone Radical Cup Canada, and Sports Car Championship Canada. The Formula 4 United States Championship and Formula Regional Americas Championship will also compete, along with the Trans Am Series Presented by Pirelli. The weekend culminates on September 1 with the WeatherTech 200 for the NASCAR Canada racers.
