Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark continues to dazzle with her exceptional play, earning the title of Eastern Conference Player of the Week for August 12-25. This accolade adds to her impressive rookie season, which already includes honors as WNBA Rookie of the Month for both May and July.
Clark’s performances following the Olympic break have been outstanding. She currently ranks third in the league in scoring, averaging 25.9 points per game, while also contributing 9.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds. Last week, she set a new benchmark for the Fever by becoming their rookie leader in 3-point field goals with 81. She also surpassed Ticha Penicheiro’s rookie record for assists, now holding the WNBA’s all-time rookie record with 224 assists.

Clark’s achievements place her alongside Indiana Fever legends like Aliyah Boston and Tamika Catchings as one of only three players in franchise history to score over 500 points in a rookie season.
In Indiana’s first game after the break, Clark delivered a standout performance with 29 points, 10 assists, and five rebounds against the Phoenix Mercury, marking her 10th double-double of the season. She followed this with another impressive outing against the Minnesota Lynx, recording 23 points, eight assists, and five rebounds.
This performance marks Clark’s 11th game of the season where she has recorded at least 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Over her last seven games, she has consistently achieved at least 20 points and six assists.

Clark leads the league in assists with an average of 8.3 per game and tops all rookies in scoring, steals, field goals made, free throws made, and minutes played. She joins teammate Aliyah Boston as the only Fever players to receive Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors this season.
