Pittsburgh football seemed to be in control during the first half of its season opener at home against Kent State, but the unpredictable nature of Maction had other plans.
In one of the craziest moments of the young season, Kent State managed to score a special teams touchdown that defied logic and set the tone for an unpredictable game.
It all started when Kent State, backed up deep in its own territory, punted the ball away. Pittsburgh returner Konata Mumpfield attempted to field the punt but mishandled it, leading to a chaotic scramble for the loose ball. As the ball bounced and ricocheted off multiple Kent State players, cornerback Naim Muhammad finally scooped it up and sprinted into the end zone, securing a touchdown for the Golden Eagles.

The sequence was a perfect example of the wild and unpredictable nature of Maction, as Kent State took full advantage of Pittsburgh’s miscue to turn the game on its head.
