Lewis has cut his list to three schools as he prepares to visit Duke and Kentucky.
Acaden Lewis’ recruitment process is approaching its conclusion.
This upcoming weekend, Lewis will make an official visit to the Duke Blue Devils for their Midnight Madness event.
Following that, he plans to visit the Kentucky Wildcats, though the official date has yet to be determined.
In the meantime, there is a small update on Lewis’ recruitment.
In an interview with 247 Sports’ Dushawn London, it was revealed that Lewis is no longer considering North Carolina. He has officially narrowed his choices to Kentucky, Duke, and UConn, with the latter being visited on September 20th.
Lewis also reiterated his intention to make a decision this fall.
“I’m looking to make my decision in early November,” Lewis told 247 Sports. “I’m really just looking for an opportunity, and I need to see who else is coming in the class, the rosters, who’s coming back, who’s leaving, and things like that.”
He also shared his thoughts on Kentucky, mentioning that details for his Lexington visit will be announced soon.
“They’ve been great and have been recruiting me hard. Jasper (Johnson) was at the John Wootten Top 150 camp, and he did some recruiting as well. Their message is pretty consistent; they say I can come in and have the opportunity to play. With players leaving next season, it’s a good opportunity.”
As Lewis approaches his decision, Kentucky is currently seen as the favorite, with Trilly Donovan recently predicting Kentucky as his choice on his Discord page. However, UConn, a two-time defending champion, and Duke, which remains strong in high school recruiting, are also in contention.
We’ll see if Mark Pope and the staff can secure his commitment.
