AC Milan says it is the first club in Europe to guarantee contract extensions for players who fall pregnant during the last year of their contracts.
Players at the Italian club will also be assisted with childcare and expenditures for their children and a companion.

The Italian top flight became professional in 2022-23, and it will grow from ten to thirteen teams by 2025-26.
