During a recent charity event, basketball superstar Caitlin Clark revealed just how fierce her competitive nature is—even off the basketball court.
Many golfers who have played alongside Tiger Woods often speak about how his competitive drive set him apart from everyone else. It was clear that when Woods competed, winning was the only option. Now, a similarly transcendent and popular figure in the sports world, Caitlin Clark, appears to share that same relentless desire to win. While participating in a golf event for charity, Clark’s teammates noted that her competitive spirit was on full display.
Clark’s WNBA team, the Indiana Fever, hosted a local charity golf event called “The Fever FORE Change Fundraiser” just a week ago. Though the event was meant to be a lighthearted competition, Clark quickly turned up the intensity.
During the event, Clark took a tee shot only to be outdriven by her teammate Lexie Hull. Unwilling to let it slide, Clark insisted on taking another shot to try and best Hull.

Fever players attending the event couldn’t help but tease Clark for her determination. “She just can’t let me win,” Hull jokingly remarked as Clark grabbed the driver from her to take another swing.
Clark’s golf skills are no joke, either. She previously participated in the John Deere Classic Pro-Am in 2023, finishing the tournament with an impressive 5-under par. Whether at a Pro-Am or a charity event for the Fever, Clark’s presence is enough to draw a crowd. During the fundraiser, one of Clark’s fans even had the rookie star hold her baby and sign the onesie for the two-week-old, showing how beloved she has become.
While her teammates may have been playfully ribbing her, they certainly appreciate Clark’s competitive edge. She has been instrumental in transforming the Fever from the WNBA’s worst team a year ago into a playoff contender this season. Just as Tiger Woods became the face of golf and helped propel the sport to global prominence, Caitlin Clark seems to be following in his footsteps, bringing that same level of passion and competitiveness to everything she does.
