Indiana Fever sensation Caitlin Clark tied the WNBA rookie three-point record on Monday night, sinking four crucial triples during her team’s hard-fought 84–79 victory over the Atlanta Dream at State Farm Arena.
With those four three-pointers, Clark brought her season total to 85, matching the WNBA rookie single-season record set by Atlanta Dream guard Rhyne Howard in 2022. Clark officially tied the record with a signature step-back three in the fourth quarter, showcasing the lethal shooting that’s become her trademark.

In her rookie year, Howard achieved her record by hitting 85 three-pointers across 34 games, shooting 34.4% on 7.3 attempts per game. Clark, while attempting more shots—averaging 8.7 three-point attempts per game—matched the record with a 32.9% shooting percentage over just 30 games.
Clark still has her sights set on surpassing the all-time single-season three-point record of 128, established by Sabrina Ionescu last year. To break that record, Clark would need to average 4.4 made three-pointers per game over the Fever’s remaining 10 contests—a challenging but not impossible feat for the prolific shooter.
In addition to tying the three-point record, Clark has already set the all-time rookie record for assists in a single season. Her next opportunity to make history will come on Wednesday when the Fever take on the Connecticut Sun at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Fans will be watching closely as Clark aims to solidify her place in the WNBA record books.
