Caitlin Clark continues to make history, and the entire sports world is taking notice — including Olympic legend Simone Biles.
The 27-year-old gymnast was in attendance at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday, August 28, to watch the Indiana Fever secure an 84-80 victory over the Connecticut Sun.
Clark, 22, delivered another standout performance, contributing 19 points, five rebounds, and five assists. Early in the game, she sank a 3-pointer that marked her 86th of the season, breaking the WNBA’s rookie 3-point record previously held by Rhyne Howard.
After the game, Clark and her teammates had the chance to meet Biles and Olympic track star Gabby Thomas, also 27, who greeted the Fever players with warm hugs and big smiles.

Following the heartfelt encounter, Biles expressed her excitement, saying to the camera, “They were so excited. Oh my god. It’s like usually the boys will just pass and be like, ‘Yup.’ But they were so excited, that was so cool.”
Biles also took to social media to share the moment, posting the video on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “EVERYONE WATCHES WOMENS SPORTS so happy to be able to go support! My first of many WNBA games .”
Gabby Thomas echoed the sentiment on X, writing, “First WNBA game of many! Had so much fun supporting these stars .”
The star-studded game also attracted other big names, including Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson and TV legend David Letterman, according to *The Indianapolis Star*.
As Clark continues to shatter records, including recently setting a new WNBA rookie assist record, her impact on the game is undeniable. Despite not making the U.S. women’s basketball team for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Clark remains determined and focused.
Reflecting on the disappointment, she told reporters last month, “It makes me think of like that’s your time in college. And I feel like I was just a freshman in college. So it shows you that you know you got to start working now if you want that to be your dream in four years. So I think that’s just it for me — work hard, and hopefully, you can be there.”
