Caitlin Clark and her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, enjoyed their first NFL game together in Indianapolis on Saturday night, taking in the action from a luxury suite at Lucas Oil Stadium as they watched the Colts secure a preseason victory over the Cardinals.
This NFL outing came just a day after Clark’s exceptional return to the WNBA following the Olympic break. The Indiana Fever rookie dazzled on the court, scoring 29 points—just shy of her season high—along with 10 assists and five rebounds in a triumphant win over the Phoenix Mercury.
Clark’s performance cemented her place in WNBA history, as she became the first rookie to record multiple games with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists in a single season.

Despite being snubbed from Team USA for the Olympics—a decision that left many fans disappointed—Clark used the break to recharge. Her absence from the Olympic roster was noted in an NBC ad featuring Aubrey Plaza, which highlighted the current surge in women’s basketball, a rise many attribute in part to Clark’s influence.
Instead of competing in Paris, Clark teamed up with Angel Reese and others to defeat Team USA during the WNBA All-Star game. Meanwhile, she watched from afar as the Americans captured gold.
The Fever, who began the season with a dismal 1-8 record, have since turned things around, now holding a 12-15 record and sitting three games ahead of the Atlanta Dream in the playoff race. As Indiana aims for its first postseason appearance since 2016, Clark’s leadership and outstanding play are proving to be the catalyst for the team’s resurgence.
Clark and the Fever will return to the court on Sunday, facing the Seattle Storm at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where they’ll look to continue their push for the playoffs.
