In an exciting day for marketing, Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese made headlines not only by announcing her partnership with Reese’s and unveiling a “Reese’s Pieces” collection but also with the news that the Sky will host the first-ever “Barbie Night Game” against Caitlin Clark and the Fever on August 30.

The WNBA franchise is teaming up with Mattel to encourage fans to don their best pink outfits for the showdown between two of the league’s most electrifying rookies. The event honors Reese, who earned the nickname “Bayou Barbie” during her college career and now embraces the title of “Chi-Town Barbie.”
This matchup will be the fourth and final regular-season meeting between the Sky and the Fever, with Clark’s team winning the first two games and Reese leading the Sky to victory in the third. Reese had a standout performance in that game, recording 25 points and 16 rebounds on 8-12 shooting.
Reese has not only become a marketing powerhouse but also a dominant force on the court. She is on pace to break the all-time WNBA record for rebounds, needing just 5.6 boards per game for the rest of the season to reach the milestone. Earlier in the year, Reese set a record for the most consecutive double-doubles in WNBA history, solidifying her status as one of the league’s premier players.
