Miguel Oliveira has officially announced that he will not be continuing with Trackhouse Racing in MotoGP for the 2025 season. The news comes as Ai Ogura was revealed as Raúl Fernández’s new teammate for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
When asked whether his departure from the American team was a mutual decision, Oliveira confirmed, “Yes, I would say so. It was a natural progression. Once Trackhouse informed me that their future plans involved bringing in a young Moto2 rider, the path forward became clear for me.”
Oliveira also mentioned that Fernández’s contract renewal occurred after he was made aware of the team’s intention to promote a Moto2 rider, stating, “I don’t recall the exact timing, but I believe Raúl’s renewal happened later.”
As for Oliveira’s future, while nothing has been officially confirmed, there is strong speculation that he will join Pramac, Yamaha’s new satellite team. Oliveira commented on the ongoing discussions: “Regarding my future, we are in very positive negotiations with Yamaha for the Pramac team, which I’m very proud of. However, I can’t provide further details until any agreement is officially finalized.”
